With all due respect, this might be (and obviously is) what this project is doing, but there is no such thing as:\r\n\r\n
This is normal for this project,...
\r\nThere is nothing normal about it... :)\r\n\r\nEvery project does what needs to be done to enable BOINC Manager to display a Remaining (estimated) time. This project shouldn't be the one and only exception among 58 projects that I am currently aware of and 52 that I am actively crunching for. As I said in my original post in this thread, this behavior results in breaking other tools that rely on the Remaining time being correct:\r\n\r\n- For one, https://boincstats.com/en/bam/projectHosts/165/ is supposed to show which of your hosts are running this project and how much work each has left, assuming you have an account on BOINCstats and use it also as your Account Manager, and that doesn't work due to this behavior. \r\n\r\n- I will also guess that the widely used BoincTasks tool would be having problems with a variety of its functions regarding deadline reporting etc. because of this behavior, but I cannot be sure since I am not (yet) using that tool.\r\n\r\nSo, I submit that this project should do whatever it needs to do to make sure a Remaining (estimated) time is calculated and displayed and reported by BOINC Manager.\r\n\r\nThanks for listening\r\nTuna

So, I have these two tasks running on one machine (among a few other tasks on other machines all with the same issue), one v2 Word Seeker 6.00 and one v1 Random Generator 9.00. Right now they both show about 20-25% complete with 8-9mins spent. However, Remaining stays "---". Which means, sites like BOINCstats/BAM! get the remaining work as "0", which means they show all my hosts as not churning through any Goofyx work.\r\n\r\nTuna

Does it work flawlessly on your other projects?
\r\n\r\nYup. :-)
7) Message boards : Number crunching : Are the BOINC-wide teams getting imported? (Message 118)
Posted 19 Nov 2015 by Profile Tuna Ertemalp
I own the "Microsoft" team in ~50 projects (in every active project except for Rosetta, vLHCathome and WCG, plus a few retired projects) and also have it created as a BOINC-wide team (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/teams/). The premise of the latter is that any new and existing BOINC projects will import the team list regularly so that such BOINC-wide teams stay in sync across projects in terms of both their existence and their misc properties. However, when I joined this project yesterday, I noticed that the Microsoft team didn't exist, and I had to create it manually. I would have expected it to be there already.\r\n\r\nPer the above document, the project owner needs to read http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/TeamImport.\r\n\r\nThanks!\r\nTuna

Not a number crunching issue, but there is no "Site issues" board, so... (should there be one?)\r\n\r\nUnder Your Account, Community Preferences, I have "Immediately, by email" for the Notifications.\r\n\r\nEarlier today, I created a thread, subscribed to it, to which Steve Hawker replied, yet I didn't get an immediate notification by email. Instead, I saw it when I looked at this site since it was called out under Your Account. Given that I am running 50+ projects, I might not have seen Steve's response for a long time which actually required a quick action on my part.\r\n\r\nThanks for looking into it.\r\nTuna

You should tell Sebastien.
\r\n\r\nThanks. I just emailed him.\r\n\r\nTuna

I signed up for this project yesterday, and immediately was UOTD. Great. All the UOTD is tracked by http://uotd.org/, but it never heard about it. So, something is wrong. I thought using standard BOINC stuff would make that automatic, but apparently not. Might want to look into it. The value reported by that site is used by a number of badge signature sites, like the one I use:\r\n\r\n
