\r\n\r\ni bet it has nothing to do with your app.\r\n\r\nas i wrote before, the client only requests one task with the NCI-flag per project automatically.\r\n\r\nspare your time there..

\r\n\r\nDoes the config file you mentioned work for you? If so, where does one put it?\r\n (C:\ProjectData\BOINC.....?)\r\n\r\n Strange that it was working for me for a little while with no intervention.

\r\n\r\nthis is rocket science!\r\n\r\n\r\nplain simple the client work fetch is the culprit.\r\nit is not desinged to request more than one nci-task per project.\r\nthis is the first project coming up with 2 seperate nci-apps - go figure..\r\n\r\n\r\nC:\ProjectData\BOINC\cc_config.xml should work\r\n\r\nyou may want to check the wiki for that

I think no change in cc_config is necessary. Few of my hosts starts to work fine with both applications right now.

\r\n\r\nDID work. I generally don't mess with such things as I assume the program (in this case BOINC) knows best, and I have a tendency to screw things up to a point requiring a complete re-install. Thanks for the tip frank.\r\nI think I like rockets ;)

\r\n\r\n:)\r\n\r\nbut since its rocket science berkely-style, it will fail of course.\r\n\r\nexcatly if both results are reported in a single request. \r\nif this happens a manual update request is necessary to get things working again.

Nci is defined at application level not at project level\r\nBoth applications are nci. At start up, after having received one task for one nci application, Boinc does not automatically request the project a task for the other nci application.\r\nBut one manual update send a request to the project that send a task for the other nci application that was not initially running on the computer\r\nThen you have 2 nci tasks for 2 different nci applications of the same project\r\nboinc send back finished tasks and get new task for each nci applications (it works better with « immediate report activated » because there is more chance that the requests for each nci applications are not performs at the same time. Otherwise you will get a task for only one of the nci application) \r\nI used to have only Monkeys v1 on my computers but after having manually update the project I have received Monkeys v2 running at the same time.\r\nIt makes a lot of monkeys but they are running and writing in the cage…silently

\r\nI had to set it on project level in config.xml.\r\nAny setting for applecatin level didn't work\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nYou have any idea what can i do to change that situation <- that everybody could get WU's for all my apps?\r\nI think about changing WU's processing time to be diffrent in every project <- now it is 1 hour. Maybe after changing time for monkeys_v2 from 60min to 55 or 65 min could help?

\r\n\r\nit will improve the situaton.\r\n\r\nbut as long as the client does not act on application level it will not work perfectly.\r\n\r\n\r\nmaybe you could tweak the server to send both v1 and v2 tasks on a request.\r\nbut be sure to set one task in progess per app and host if that is possible.

I need to know one think from you guys.\r\n\r\n1. If monkeys_v2 after uploading result, reporting and disappeared from task list in boinc manager is still on the process list in system? \r\nI saw that I have that problem on 3 of my host <- i have 3x monkeys_v2 process on the list, maybe is the reason thats boinc manager don't wnat to automaticaly download next WU to process.\r\n\r\n\r\n2. If anyone have older version of boinc manager that 7.6 maybe you could update to try if this is help you in this problem. I analyze the logs of scheduler and I saw that only one boinc client 7.6 of ten has that problem, any older version has increasing this.

\r\nBecause on boinc 7.6 is good.\r\n\r\nBut for know I have strange situation.\r\nI increase again shared memory bufor for application and WU processing increasing with it. maybe, just meybe server boinc need more shared memory with NCI application <- my friend on universe@home have bufer 500 and 40000 WU in progress, now I incresing it from 1000 to 4000 and WU procesing rised up.\r\nWe will see.

\r\n\r\nWhy not have a WU that runs forever and just reports in every hour? Or have the WU run for a month with reporting packets like Climate Prediction WUs.

Or you could pick three large prime numbers around the 75,000-85,000 range and make that the duration in seconds for each app. keep the numbers about 3,600s apart and you might never see synchronisation.\r\n\r\nHere are three possibles\r\n\r\n79,201 (22 hours plus 1 second)\r\n82,799 (23 hours minus 1 second)\r\n86,399 (1 day minus 1 second)\r\n\r\nThe shortest time for synchronisation would be over 200 years. Realistically you probably only need to avoid synchronization for 10 years.\r\n\r\nYou could pick shorter run times too if you prefer.\r\n\r\nPrime numbers from here: http://compoasso.free.fr/primelistweb/page/prime/accueil_en.php

adding\r\n\r\n<next_rpc_delay>300.000000</next_rpc_delay>\r\n\r\nto the sched_reply might do the trick
